"When the text that comes with The Music of Belief describes "The Voice Of Incorporeality" as a "soundplay accompanying you during your ascension on the ladder of Mystical Tones towards the Silence, the Nada", it's hard not to wonder how deep Martens's tongue is lodged in his cheek. And yet he plays it very straight, with none of the obvious winks to the listener that The Buttholes or indeed The Orb would place in plain view. (...) Perhaps Martens is trying to locate the buried utopianism in New Age, reactivate its psychedelic potentials? In which case, the title of this lovely album - The Music Of Belief - lays it on the line. It's a dare to the listener: suspend your cynicism."

"Psychedelische new age, minimalistische mantra’s, of een schizofreen Jungle-Audioboek? Bij Kraak wordt Lieven Martens aangekondigd als een van de spilfiguren in de Belgische experimentele underground, wij kennen Dolphins Into The Future vooral als een doorgedraaide podiumguru - de Bhagwan van de klankverkenners. ‘The Music Of Belief’ zet je voortdurend op het verkeerde been: de ene keer waan je jezelf mijlen diep verloren onder de zeespiegel, het volgende moment zit je in de klankkast van Dr. Albert Hoffmann. En geloof het maar, daar wil je best zijn. ‘The Voice Of Incorporeality’ opent het album met een dik halfuur tribale experimenten, een bezwerend signaal dat deze trip meer inhoudt dan een uurtje Peruviaanse panfluit. De ‘Observations Through The Halocline Of The Worlds’ die daarop volgen zijn tien los/vaste composities die tegelijk boeien en hypnotiseren, slaan en zalven. Net als ‘… On Sea-Faring Isolations’ maakt ‘The Music Of Belief’ het prangend duidelijk dat Dolphins Into The Future bij de boeiendste geluidsuitvinders uit België hoort. Eén van de oogopeners op het komende Kraakfestival, 6 maart in Aalst!"
