European Forum on Music 2012: Call for Papers and Projects

Van 19 tot 22 april 2012 wordt in Istanbul de tweede editie van het European Forum on Music georganiseerd. Thema wordt 'Transcending Boundaries - Building Bridges'. Wie inspirerende projecten of studies of publicaties rond dit thema wil voorstellen kan zich tot 1 maart aanmelden.
Placed under the overall theme “Transcending Boundaries – Building Bridges”, the Forum aims to highlight how music is impacted by various cultures but also to demonstrate how music can be a catalyst for communication, dialogue and exchange.The presentation of projects are an important part of the Forum, therefore we offer EMC members and their affiliates the possibility to share their experience, good practices, projects and now for the first time papers also with other members. In order to offer the greatest possible diversity, presentations may not necessarily be bundled per thematic area.The proposed papers and projects should concern the Forum’s theme Transcending Boundaries – Building Bridges in an inspiring way. The project/papers should be innovative and exemplary and have the potential to be emulated by other organisations.Please bear in mind that the presentation should not exceed 10 minutes. Questions regarding the conditions for submissions may be directed to info@emc-imc.org.All submissions will be reviewed by the EMC Secretariat for inclusion in the Forum programme. Review criteria include relevance to the thematic areas, quality and originality.All submitters will receive a confirmation that their submission is received within a week from the date it was sent.Notification on acceptance will be given before 19 March 2012.
