De European Festivals Association (EFA) lanceert een oproep tot inschrijving voor de tweede editie van zijn "European Atelier for Young Festival Managers". Die vindt plaats van 26 april tot 3 mei 2009 in Varna, Bulgarije. Kandidaturen kunnen tot 1 december 2008 worden ingediend.The “European Atelier for Young Festival Managers” is an extraordinary training programme specifically designed for young festival operators working in the programming department or those who have the ambition to enroll a function in the artistic department of a festival. It is open to festival managers from all over the world.
Workshop leaders and speakers include a unique range of the most experienced festival directors as well as young, innovative and trend-setting festival pioneers. Bernard Faivre d’Arcier (former Avignon Festival Director), Rose Fenton (founder and director LIFT, London International Theatre Festival), Hugo De Greef (General Director of the Flagey and former Secretary General of EFA) and Nele Hertling (Director of the “Berlin Artist Program” of the DAAD) are the overall mentors and guide the Atelier participants throughout the week – many other high-standing mentors and lecturers from all over Europe join this exceptional group throughout the week!
